LEO/VIRGO-Cusp Aug. 18 to Aug. 27

Cusps

Those who draw their first breath when one sign is giving place to another are said to belong on the Cusp, and so partake of the characteristics of both signs. This may be an advantage or a disadvantage, according to the harmony or in harmony of the signs. Six days in a sign is said to constitute a residence, but anything less than this time endows one with some of the qualities of the preceding sign.

The ancients gave the cusp children liberty to select their own colors and jewels from the two signs, and considered them related to the planets of both. Any other cusp information can easily be gleaned by the study of the two signs.

Leo/Virgo Cusp - Aug. 18 to Aug. 27

These persons are usually a very strong combination of Fire and Earth. But fire in this instance seems naturally turned to productive issues. These natives apparently realize that the Earth needs the Sun, and they focus its love and intelligence and do not play with and scatter their forces.

Women in this domain are fond of everything that grows, from the babe at the breast to the seed in the ground. They are usually indefatigable workers, and when properly educated are logical thinkers. They love the good things of earth, and have a natural faculty of appropriating them. Their ability to convince makes them excellent teachers, physicians, and metaphysicians.

They have more tact than the Virgo or the Leo native, and rarely offend or disturb. The heat of Leo is modified by the coolness and solidity of the Earth, and there is not so much temptation to take offence or toward unkindly criticism as prevails in the signs when taken separately. These people are usually impatient of houses and clothes.

Because it is necessary to live within four walls and to wear tweed or silk, they demand the best and the most tasteful in quality and style, and the finest adornments for home. But they are such true children of nature, that they would like to spend most of their time out-of-doors attired in as few garments as could be worn with propriety. They are usually good and intelligent citizens.

  3. I have a question why do most people say the cusp ends on the 25? I am interested and I truly feel I am a cusp, I also could care less i guess, but do you yourself understand why so many people believe it ends on the 25? I get the six days but I wonder how others come up with their dates, my birthday happens to be the 27(of August ,I somehow believe you would understand that)If you answer thanks ,if not it is okay the six days thing helps a lot.

  4. Hello My Dear,

You raise an interesting question, and I do get this question quite often. Remember it is in all in the interpretation of the charts, however this in just general information. Individually , if you had your birth chart done it will show more concise information about you. You maybe more then one sign, base on the Date, time, place and year of your birth. Also, you must remember Astrology is not an exact science.

    Many Blessings,
    Jennifer Mason (Lady J)
